Very Hungry Caterpillar


Hello, all! I'm Margaret and I'm a girl on a weight loss journey for overall health, but mainly for my wedding in October.

I'm the type of person who has struggled with weight most of my life, mainly because I love love LOVE to eat...and I love to eat almost everything. My eating habits are not unlike the hungry caterpillar in that I eat random things and a lot of it. I get home from work, open the fridge annnnd have a bite of cottage cheese here, a couple of grapes there, a pickle slice, some string and finish off with an oreo ball (or 2...) I made earlier in the week. Anyone who knows anything about dieting knows that these habits, over time, equal weight GAIN, not weight loss.
I've decided to embark on Weight Watchers. I've chosen this because I've done it before and I like it the most of all the fad diets I've tried. Cooking is a comfort to me; I love chopping and slicing and trying new recipes, and Weight Watchers allows me to do that.

So I'm starting this little project on January 1st (how original!) I'm going to weigh in every week and take my measurements with a no-holds barred attitude. I'll record my workouts and food intake. I'm hoping my journey can inspire a few others, but I'm mainly doing this blog to keep myself on track.

Until the magic day, I'm going to post some of the naughty holiday foods Patrick (my very supportive and handsome betrothed) eat and make.
